Description:

Manufactured after 1919 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs and "US/flaming bomb" at the rear of the receiver. Blade front and receiver mounted Lyman peep sights. Smooth forearm with finger groove and straight grip stock with sling swivels and military style buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 40% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a mostly grey-brown patina, most noticeably on the receiver and buttplate. The wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent.
