Manufactured in 1919. Blade front and "U" notch rear sights on slide with the two line, two block address and patent dates split with the Rampant Colt on the left side, "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" on the right ahead of the ejector port. Standard markings on the right side of the frame, with "VP" and "5" on the left side of the trigger guard. Wide checkered hammer, long smooth trigger, short grip safety, checkered slide stop, thumb safety and magazine catch, and smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard ring. Grips are checkered walnut with diamond patterns, with a full blue "L" marked magazine and an "S" marked barrel lug.

Fine, with 75% plus of the original blue finish, showing a mixed patina and mild spotting on the grip straps, bright edge wear, mild takedown lines and handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
