Colt broad side advertisement for the Model 1878 revolver. The advertisement gives information on the revolver as well as states to forward all communications about the revolver to Colt in Hartford, Connecticut. On the reverse is an advertisement for the Colt 1877 revolver in .41 and .38 caliber. The lower third of the back side advertises that Colt also sells all of the tools required for reloading the cartridge with the same message about forwarding all communications to Colt. This advertisement is pictured on page 285 of “A Life’s Tapestry of a Collector: The Gamble Collection” by George F. Gamble and R.L. Wilson. Mounted in a wood frame.
