Blade front and notch rear sights, with a blank chamber, "DWM" on the front toggle link, "crown/N" commercial proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock, and a faint Waffenamt stamp (possibly "WaA68" or "WaA88") on the right side of the chamber. The police sear safety has been installed, and a magazine well safety was installed but later removed, with the unit mark "L.Ka.348." on the front strap, indicating the rural police for the Kassel region. Straw finished small parts, checkered grips, and two magazines; both magazines are Haenel marked with alloy bases, one marked "2/6680" to match the pistol, the other close at "1/6008" with an "eagle/L" stamp on the body. The breechblock, firing pin and extension are unnumbered. Also included with the pistol is a brown leather holster marked "ROBERT LARSEN/BERLIN/1929" and "L.Ka.348." to match the pistol on the rear, and a takedown tool also numbered "348.". Provenance: The Paul Crockett Jr. Collection
Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, mild spotting, and light handling marks. 40% of the straw color is present on the small parts, and the grips are very good with a chip absent above the magazine release and scattered flat spots. The holster is very good, with mild scuffs and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
