This is an excellent Winchester Model 1885 High Wall plain sporting in popular .32-20 WCF cartridge that was manufactured in 1895. The rifle has a standard 30 inch, full octagon, no. 3 weight barrel which is marked with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "32-40" at the breech It has the Winchester commercial blued finished barrel, color casehardened receiver, and low luster wood varnish. The rifle is fitted with a blade front sight, an elevation adjustable rear sight, and folding tang peep sight featuring coarse knurled staff. The rifle is fitted with a straight grip plain walnut stock and matching straight grain forearm.

Excellent. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with very slight pitting. The receiver retains 95% plus vivid original case colors. The hammer, lever and buttplate 90% original case colors. The wood is also excellent with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. A highly attractive Winchester Model 1885 High Wall Rifle in .32-40 WCF.
