Manufactured in 1950. Single nickel bead sight on the Winchester counterbored smooth bore barrel which bears standard markings with the desirable "22 L.RIFLE/FOR SHOT ONLY" stamping. Winchester "WP" proofs on barrel and receiver at the breech, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, smooth trigger, serrated hammer catch, and non-drilled upper tang. Fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish with light handling evidence, some rubbing on the receiver above the ejection port, and minor oxidation at the muzzle. Two non-factory tapped holes in the top of the receiver with filler screws. The wood is very good with a few dings and scratches and some varnish loss in areas. Mechanically excellent.
