Manufactured in 1929 with Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and then subsequently beautifully embellished in the factory style. The left side of the barrel has the two-line model, trademark, nickel steel, and caliber marking. The receiver has a gold bordered game scene on each side, a whitetail buck on the left and a bull moose on the right, both surrounded by extensive floral scroll engraving. The nosecap and buttplate both have engraved florettes around the screws. There is a fine gold band inlaid on the barrel at the breech. It is fitted with a tall blade front sight with gold inlaid rear face and an elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight. It is mounted with a finely figured, H-pattern checkered forearm and checkered straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. The included factory letter states that the serial number was applied on 9 May 1929 but that no other information was available.

Very fine as custom embellished, retains 99% plus of the refinished blue and gold inlays with only the slightest handling marks. The replacement deluxe style wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
