Manufactured in 1941 and subsequently beautifully embellished by renowned Master Engraver Jeff Flannery of Union, Kentucky. Blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight, and standard Winchester markings. The receiver displays attractive deep scroll engraving surrounding a running rabbit on the left and a squirrel sitting on the right. The scroll extends to both tangs with a starburst on the triggerguard. The left scene is signed with Flannery's signature "JF". Very fine as master embellished by Jeff Flannery, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue with minor handling evidence. The stock has a crack at the toe; otherwise, it is very fine with a few minor marks. Mechanically excellent.
