Description:

Manufactured circa 1880s-1890. This exact example is pictured on page 554 of "Blue Book of Airguns, Thirteenth Edition". Smoothbore octagon barrel with blade and notch sights, marked "PATENT" ahead of a Gaggenau crossed pistols manufacturer logo on top. The barrel tips up for loading as well as cocking the spring air compressor in the cylinder. Circular brass collection tag marked "R.D. BEEMAN/PRIVATE/COLLECTION/2014" hanging from the trigger guard. Rating Definition:

Very good, with traces of original blue finish on the barrel, 60% original nickel finish on the remaining surfaces, and smooth brown patina with some scattered light pitting on the balance. Stock is also very good with numerous scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
