Manufactured in 1938, the left side of the matching numbered slide has the standard two-line address and patent dates while the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed by the Rampant Colt, as well as being fitted with the original Swartz safety. The left of the trigger guard is marked "P/VP" while the right is marked "60", and the standard Government Model marking is over the serial number on the right of the frame. The barrel is blued with a polished chamber hood and marked "MATCH/COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left and "MS" within a circle on the left. It is fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, checkered trigger, slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, and an arched checkered mainspring housing. It is fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips and a full blue magazine with "COLT/45 AUTO." on the base. Includes the original box and an original National Match marked manual.

Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with some light edge wear, a minor takedown mark on the left of the frame and the slide, and some light handling marks on the front strap. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with tape repairs, an absent long side of the lid, and moderate wear.
