Manufactured in 1938, with the standard markings on top of the barrel and on the left side of the frame. The left side of the slide has the standard Colt and caliber markings followed by the Rampant Colt. It is fitted with Patridge blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, along with the very desirable checkered walnut "elephant ear" grips with Colt medallions. Includes the original factory box, "Form 57" green Woodsman hang tag, "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet with "proper care" card on the back, small brown envelope, and "HEISER DENVER" marked brown leather holster with extra magazine.

Excellent, with 95% of the original blued finish remaining, along with rear mainspring housing wear and scattered specks of oxidation visible on the left side and bottom of the barrel. The grip is also excellent, with crisp checkering a very minor handling marks. Box and holster are very good with mild wear. Mechanically excellent.
