Manufactured in 1932, the left side of the matching numbered slide has the standard two-line address and patent dates while the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed by the Rampant Colt. The left of the trigger guard is marked "VP" while the right is marked "20", and the standard Government Model marking is over the serial number on the right of the frame. The barrel has a polished chamber hood and "MP" in a circle on the left of the lug. It is fitted with blade front and notch rear sights, checkered trigger, slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, an arched checkered mainspring housing, an two-tone magazine with Colt markings on the base, and a pair of checkered walnut grips.

Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, most noticeably on the grip straps and edges, and a scattered speckling of very light surface pitting on the slide. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
