Manufactured in Germany in 1980 as a semi-automatic rifle, and then converted by Group Industries into a selective fire rifle in 1981, essentially turning it into a close copy of the military/government contract HK33 rifle. Post front and four-position drum rear sight, with a birdcage flash hider, triangular handguard, textured pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. The "shelf" pattern receiver is fitted with a functional paddle lever for the magazine catch, with the HK/importer markings on the sides of the magazine well and "HK93B2 GROUP IND. 3/81" on top. The trigger housing bears further Group markings, with a right handed "S/E/F" selector switch and an unmarked shelf pattern trigger pack. The bolt carrier has been converted from semi-automatic to full, with a welded-up sear trip and a rubber recoil buffer, and fitted with an "IA" (1980) dated bolt head.

Very fine as upgraded, with 90% of the matte gray finish, showing mild edge wear, rubbing on top of the receiver from contact with a scope rail, and light handling marks. The stock is also excellent. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
