Description:

This BSA manufactured No. 4 Mk I (T) Enfield sniper rifle is fitted with a No. 32 Mk I scope and mount. "M47C/1944/B31122" marked on the left of the stock socket. The comb of the stock has a hardwood cheekpiece held on with two wood screws. Standard blade front sight and absent rear sight. Matching serial number "31122" stamped on the bottom of the forend and on top of the buttstock at the wrist (another number is X'd out). Matching serial number "B31122" also marked on the bolt handle and magazine. The scope is marked "TEL. STG. No 32 Mk I/H.B.M.Co. OS.1650A/REGd No 10511" above a broad arrow on the tube, and it has the standard post and cross-hair reticle pattern, and is fitted in a cast scope mount matching serial numbered to the rifle "B31122" on the left. Includes a brown leather sling, reproduction brown leather scope lens covers, and a green painted No. 15 Mk. I wooden sniper rifle transit chest.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 97% wartime arsenal applied gray finish and 85% blue finish. Wood is also very fine as arsenal refurbished, with some light handling marks and mostly crisp stampings. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very fine, with 95% original blue finish on the tube with some light surface freckling, 90% original black painted finish on the dial base and sunshade, with crisp clear optics. Included transit chest is very good.
