The blued boxlock action displays near full coverage floral scroll engraving surrounding four game scenes in the Winchester 21-6 pattern. The left shows a setter, the right has a pointer, the underside shows a pair of pheasants, and the trigger guard has a dog's bust. The gun features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Outstanding, beautifully figured, fancy 21-B fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forend with rosewood tip inlay and engraved fittings including the rotary latch release, and a pistol grip stock with engraved blued steel grip cap, heelplate, and toeplate. Includes an oak & leather takedown case with canvas cover, gold snap caps, nickel oiler, and cleaning tools. Exceptionally fine as custom upgraded/built to current configuration, retaining 99% blue finish with minor handling marks, a light plum coloration on the forend shoe, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
