Manufactured from 1871-1877. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address flanked by Maltese crosses. The left of the frame is marked "22 CAL". The period retailer engraving features flourishes of floral scroll on the sides of the frame and a diamond and clover pattern on the cylinder. It is fitted with an attractive pair of Wexell & DeGress style grips marked "PAT APR 28.74" at the top of the left, floral motifs throughout, and a lion's head on the right. Includes a hardwood case that holds both revolvers and a bore brush.

Fine, retains 75% plus of the period retailer applied engraving and nickel finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and few scattered patches of light pitting. The grips are also fine showing an attractively aged patina. Mechanically fine. The case is fine with one of the hinges detached from the lid and generally light wear and handling marks.

It is fitted with a pair of attractive gilt brass Wexell & DeGress style grips, the left marked with the 1874 patent date and featuring floral motifs and a horse head on the right panel.

Fine, retains 30% of the period retailer applied engraving and nickel finish with the balance having thinned to mostly an attractively aged brass. The grips are fine and retains 50% plus of the gilt finish with the balance a similarly aged brass. Mechanically excellent.
