These Adams centerfire revolvers were designed by John Adams, brother of Robert Adams, and like his brother's revolvers, were used by the British military across the British Empire, including in Canada. The revolver is marked "C/M.P" for Canadian Mounted Police in an oval on the right side under the cylinder pin release, "ZZZ" above the release, "broad arrow/WD/III" on the opposite side, blade and notch sights, matching serial numbers, "ADAMS'S/PATENT" and trademark marking on the right side of the frame, the opposing broad arrow marking indicating sale out of service on the left above the "3.74" marking, "E/3" on the upper left of the checkered grip, and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 50% of the original blue finish remaining, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, some minor oxidation, and generally rather minor overall wear. The grip is also fine and has mostly crisp checkering exhibiting mild handling wear. Mechanically fine.
