Manufactured in 1944, this is one of approximately only 4,000 Colt Woodsman Match Target pistols produced for the U.S. military during World War II. Features fixed blade front and fully adjustable notched rear sights, with the "MATCH/(bullseye)/TARGET" marking on the left rear of the barrel, the slide marked "COLT" next to the caliber markings and Rampant Colt, and "THE WOODSMAN/U.S. PROPERTY" on the left side of the frame. The trigger guard is marked "e/VP", the "MT" serial number down the front strap, and checkered plastic extended grips.

Excellent overall, retaining 90% plus of original blue finish with light handling marks, edge wear, scattered specks of dark surface oxidation on the grip straps, and crisp checkering on the excellent grips. Mechanically excellent.
