Manufactured in 1939, the left side of the matching numbered slide has the standard two-line address and patent dates while the right has the standard National Match and Colt markings followed by the Rampant Colt, as well as being fitted with the Swartz safety. The left of the trigger guard is marked "4/VP" while the right is marked "60", and the standard Government Model marking is over the serial number on the right of the frame. The full-blue barrel is marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left. It is fitted with blade front and notch rear sights, checkered slide stop, thumb safety, and wide hammer, an arched checkered mainspring housing, a replacement long smooth trigger, a full blue magazine with Colt markings on the base plate, and a pair of checkered walnut grips.

Very fine, retains 75% of the factory, post-war refurbished blue finish with a few scattered patches of cold blue touch up on the sides of the slide and bottom front of the frame, and the balance a smooth grey patina. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
