Fitted with fixed sights, a 60 degree safety, checkered grips and a flat-base magazine. This "Crown/N" pre-1933 proofed pistol is inscribed on the top left side of the slide "Gestiftet v.d. Landes-Bauernschaft Thur./(Forstabteilung) Skitreffen Oberhof am 13.2.38", marking it as having been donated by the forest branch of the peasant's association of Thuringia to commemorate a ski rendezvous at Oberhof. Located in Thuringia, Oberhof has been a major center of German winter sports from the Imperial era to the modern day, and though no specific information has been uncovered regarding the pistol, it would not be out of character for an inscribed Walther to be presented to a winner of a sports competition or a high-profile visitor to the rendezvous. Included with the pistol is a "Walther PP" ink stamped brown leather flap holster.

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish. The edges are turning a smooth, bright gray patina, particularly at the leading corners of the slide, with a small amount of spotting and brown patina on the grip straps and a few minor handling marks overall. The grips are also very fine with a few tiny dings on the sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is excellent.
