Description:

Reduced in dimensions to about half scale, this is a fine working copy of a Model 1874 Gatling Gun. Individual numbers are present on the barrel assembly and a reproduction Gatling plaque is mounted on top, though no maker's marks are present. The main construction of the weapon is brass, with steel barrels, bolts and screws/pins, with a brass crank and sights on the right side, a rotating Broadwell drum, and a windage adjustment mechanism with auto-traverse capacity. With a brass and hardwood folding tripod with elevation adjustment wheel.

Rating Definition:

The barrels are excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, and the remainder is very fine with areas of aged patina and light handling marks overall. The tripod is good, with glued repairs to the legs, mild wear, and the adjustment mechanisms in good order. The locking posts for the Broadwell drum are absent, otherwise mechanically excellent.
