The accompanying factory letter confirms that this consecutively serialized pair of Colt SAAs were engraved and gold inlaid by Colt Master Engraver Robert Burt and were shipped as a pair in a double presentation case on October 26 1979 to Interstate Distributing Co. of Little Rock, Arkansas. The factory letter also confirms the configurations and details of Robert Burt's engraving with the consecutive serial numbers and unfluted cylinders listed as "special features". Both guns have fixed blade front sights on the barrels with standard one line manufacture markings on the top, and single gold bands at the front and rear, gold bands at the front and rear of the cylinders, and gold borders on the frames. Gun "A" features Colt "Class B" engraving on the cylinder, frame, and barrel, with a gold inlaid brown bear's head on the right side of the frame, and a pronghorn antelope on the left. Gun "B" features a gold inlaid wolf on the right side of the frame, and a grizzly bear on the left. Matching respective serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and both grip panels. The pair of revolvers comes in a "Colt Custom" wood case as noted in the factory letter.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus of the original blue finish and gold inlays with limited handling marks. The case is very good with some minor surface scratches and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
