Manufactured in 1954. Dual bead sights on the double Winchester proofed blued steel barrel, standard Winchester markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and choke marked "WS-1". Blued receiver with a dog and pheasant scene roll engraved on the left and a mallard scene on the right. Beautifully figured multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with blued steel grip cap and Winchester buttplate. This gun is mentioned by serial number in Ronald W. Stadt's "Winchester Shotguns and Shotshells: From the Hammer Double to the Model 59" on page 242 where he speculates that this gun may well have been built for a ranking member of the Winchester staff or friend of the company. A copy of the book is included.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
