This rare and desirable set would have been used by Western Cartridge Company's salesmen to display the plethora of military cartridges manufactured by Western. The set is contained in a black leatherette wrapped case lined with blue velvet. The inside of the lid is embroidered with the Western trademark and "MILITARY AMMUNITION". There is a loose velvet wrapped divider between the lid and the cartridges. The cartridges include some interesting pieces such as the 8ga. Cement Gun, .45-70 blank, electric blasting cap, primers and detonators, and an assortment of rifle and pistol cartridges ranging from .22 L.R. to 20 mm.

Excellent overall, the case showing very minimal wear on the exterior or interior and the cartridges showing equally minimal wear. A rare example of a Western military cartridge salesman's set!
