Manufactured in 1937 and subsequently upgraded to its current configuration. Blued barrel with dual white sights on the Simmons marked matted vent rib, chamber marked 3 inches, and choke marked full. The blued receiver displays highly attractive floral scroll engraving with gold borders surrounding a highly detailed relief gold inlaid eagle with talon at the ready on either side and an eagle bust on the top side. This gun was purportedly engraved by Master Engraver Jeff Flannery, though the piece is unsigned it is certainly of that level of quality. Highly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate. Very fine as custom upgraded, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes, some sub-finish pitting on the action and barrels, some wear to the wood varnish, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
