Manufactured in 1955. Features a single steel bead sight on the factory solid rib barrel with standard markings, 2 1/2 inch chamber, Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, and "SKEET" marked choke. Fancy figured checkered extension slide handle and pistol grip stock with checkered plastic Winchester buttplate. Per page 146 of Ned Schwing's "The Winchester Model 42", it appears that less than 61 total guns in this configuration (Skeet Grade, 28 inch solid rib barrel, and 2 1/2 inch chambers) were produced by Winchester. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 5/8 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches; length of pull 13 1/2 inches. Provenance: The Wayne Connor Collection

Excellent overall, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with mild slide retraction wear and light handling marks. Crisp checkering on the excellent stock. Mechanically excellent.
