Manufactured in 1953 and subsequently elaborately custom embellished by respected engraver Paula Biesen. Blued barrel with a beaded blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight, single gold band at the muzzle, gold plated magazine tube hangers and follower head, and a one inch wedge of scroll engraving at the breech bordered in gold with gold filled Winchester "WP" proof. The receiver is blued with beautifully cut floral scroll engraving over a matted background, gold inlaid serial number, and gold line accents and borders surrounding game scenes depicting a pair of squirrels on a branch on the left and a trio of rabbits in a field on the right. The scenes are cut in fine semi-relief gold inlay with the "P/B" signature on the right. Very fine as beautifully custom embellished overall, retaining 99% blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Mechanically excellent.
