According to author R.L. Wilson, of the 925 Colt Flattop Target revolvers manufactured, only 84 were produced in .450 Boxer.
   the three-line patent dates marking. The caliber marking “45 CAL/B” is stamped on the left side of the trigger guard. Per R.L. Wilson in “The Book of Colt Firearms” just over 3,400 standard Colt SAAs were chambered in .450 Eley/Boxer. London proofs are stamped on the underside of the barrel and behind each cylinder chamber. The ejector rod has a bulls eye head. Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard and back strap. The partitioned case has a Colt London paper label on the interior of the lid, cartridge block holding 24 rounds of Eley .450 cartridges, cleaning rod, James Dixon & Sons oiler, and “L” shaped screwdriver.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original nickel plating with dark spots of flaking visible on the cylinder flutes. The grip is also excellent with some minor handling marks and nearly all original varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear on the lining.

Scarce Colt Bisley Flattop Target Model Single Action Revolver in
.32 W.C.F. - Serial no. 305470, 32 WCF cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue
finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1908, this is one of only 976
Bisley Flattop Target revolvers manufactured by Colt between 1894 and 1913,
and only one of approximately 131 chambered in .32 W.C.F. It has the correct all
blue flattop frame and pinned blade and dovetailed notch target sights. The barrel
has the one-line Hartford address on top and “(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F.” on the left
side. The left side of the frame has the two-line patent dates marking followed by the
circled Rampant Colt. The left side of the trigger guard has a Colt factory verified proof. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, back strap, and both grip panels. The assembly number “311” is on the loading gate and an inverted “&” Colt rework mark is on the right of the trigger guard.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the period factory refinished blue with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on edges and the grip straps, and a light cylinder drag line. The grips are also very fine with a few minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
