Exceptional Documented Winchester Deluxe Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter - Serial no. 258267B, 38 WCF cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, highly figured checkered walnut stock. The accompanying factory letter confirms the octagon barrel in .38 caliber, plain trigger, fancy checkered
stock and casehardened receiver. This deluxe Model 1873 was received in the warehouse on July 14, 1888 and shipped the same day. The rifle is fitted with a blade front sight, an elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and a folding tang peep sight. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line address/patent dates legend ahead of the rear sight and “38 W.C.F.” at the breech.
