Cased Factory Game Scene Engraved and Signed Krieghoff

Under Shotgun Four Barrel Set - Serial no. 5269, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969. Blued Buhler-Laufstahl barrels with dual bead sights on the matted
vent rig, standard Krieghoff barrel markings and German proofs, some light engraving at the breech, and chambers marked 70 mm (2 3/4 inches)
with automatic ejectors. Blued action featuring deep engraved floral scrollwork surrounding game bird scenes on either side. The left side shows a trio of mallards in flight over a marsh scene, and the right has a trio of pheasants over a forested scene. Single selective trigger and manual tang mounted safety switch. The piece
is signed on the left side beneath the scene “R.S.” Beautifully figured, fancy checkered walnut forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch style release and pistol grip stock with checkered flats, adjustable comb, and Decelerator recoil pad. Includes three extra matching numbered barrel set, each measuring 28 inches with vent ribs and matching light engraving as well as a takedown case that houses the entire set. Barrel measurements for the 20 gauge set (U/O): chambers marked 76 mm (3 inches); bore diameter 9 inches from the breech measured at .634/.636 inches; choke constriction .003/.002 inches; minimum wall thickness .041/.044 inches. Barrel measurements for the 28 gauge set (U/O): chambers marked 76 mm (3 inches); bore diameter 9 inches from the breech measured at .553/.553 inches; choke constriction .004/.005 inches; minimum wall thickness .042/.051 inches. Barrel measurements for the .410 bore set: chambers marked 76 mm (3 inches). Barrel and stock measurements for the 12 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the breech measured at .742/.736 inches; choke constriction .006/.003 inches; minimum wall thickness .039/.044 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 13 5/8 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 15 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish, much of the loss on the underside of the action, and mild handling evidence. The wood is good with some areas of fill and finish loss, a synthetic material added to increase the pistol grip, numerous small scratches, a crack in the forend, and worn checkering. The extra barrel sets and case are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,000 - 8,000
LOT 1404 Factory Engraved Krieghoff K-80 Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 070244, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 2006. Blued steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Krieghoff barrel markings, 3 inch chambers
with automatic ejectors, and standard German proof marks. The coin finished action features standard K-80 pattern engraving, correct markings, single adjustable selective trigger, and a tang mounted safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered Schnabel tip forend with Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with adjustable comb and Kick-Eez recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the bore both proved at 18.6 mm (.732 inches) and both measured at .733 inches; interchangeable choke system both with diameters of .708 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.037 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 8 lbs 14 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% plus original finishes, minor handling evidence, and some light wear at the muzzles. The wood is very good with scattered minor dings and scratches, deteriorating recoil pad, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
LOT 1405 Factory Engraved Krieghoff Lightweight Pigeon Grade Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. 14854, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/
coin finish, walnut stock. Blued Bohler Stahl barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, standard Krieghoff barrel markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and standard German proof marks. The coin finished action features standard pattern engraving, correct markings including “PIGEON” and “LIGHTWEIGHT” on the underside, single adjustable, fire on release selective trigger, and a tang mounted safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with adjustable comb and length of pull. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the bore measured at .732/.738 inches; interchangeable choke system with current diameters both measured at .715 inches; minimum wall thickness .040/.037 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb (current); 1 7/8 inch drop at heel (current); 14 1/4 inch length of pull (current); cast-off; weight 8 lbs 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus original finishes, mild handling evidence, and some blue loss at the barrel/action junction. The wood is very good with a molded pistol grip added to the stock possibly as part of a repair, checkered and painted to match the wood (the paint is chipped of in some areas), some wear along the edges, and worn but well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500
