    Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Superposed Grade I .410 Bore Shotgun with Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 089J72, 410 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1972. Blued Special Steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard markings, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked modified/full. Standard Grade I engraving on the blued receiver which features a single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/ selector switch. Multi-point checkered, walnut forend and pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. The included factory letter lists the gun with 28 inch barrels, full chokes, in .410 when it was sold to Abercrombie & Fitch and shipped to their San Francisco, CA office on October 10, 1973. Includes the original box, numbered to gun. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 9 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. The box is very good with moderate wear and some tears. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500 LOT 1640 Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Superlight Grade I Superposed 20 Gauge Shotgun with Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. 58636V69, 20 gauge, 26 1/2 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1969. Browning introduced the Superlight in 20 gauge in 1969, and Ned Schwing’s authoritative “The Browning Superposed” (chart on page 253) shows that only one 20G Superlight was sold through 1969. Consistent with that timing, this gun has the features that appear only on the earliest Superlights, namely the distinctive tapered forearm and the European style non-fluted comb. Manufactured in 1963. Single bead sight on the matted vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chamber, full choke, and standard floral engraving and Browning markings. Includes an extra 25 1/2 inch vent rib barrel with 2 3/4 inch chamber and modified choke as well as the correct Browning Hartman takedown case that houses the set. The included factory letter confirms the choke, barrel, and gauge when the gun was originally sold on July 14, 1964 to Shaw’s Finest in Guns of Anaheim, CA. The factory letter lists the correct serial number first and the second is a factory error. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 12 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few scattered small dings and scratches and sharp checkering. The case and extra barrel are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Manufactured from 1971 to 1974 as one of 2,500. Standard markings and features. Chamber marked 2 3/4 inches and choke marked “**” (modified). Includes factory commemorative takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with some minor oxidation on the forend cap, otherwise, limited handling evidence. The wood is very good with a few scuffs, some crazing of the finish, and sharp checkering. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500 LOT 1643 Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Light 12 Auto-5 Semi-Automatic Shotgun Two Barrel Set with Case and Factory Letter - Serial no. 5G10145, 12 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1965. Single bead sight on the matted vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and modified choke. Light scroll engraving on the receiver. Checkered finger groove forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with FN/Browning buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the current barrel, choke, and gauge when it was sold to Davidson Bros Inc. of Detroit, MI on October 28, 1965. Includes an extra, correctly not matching numbered, 25 1/2 inch vent rib barrel with 2 3/4 inch chamber and choke marked improved cylinder as well as the correct Browning Hartman takedown case that houses the whole set. Stock measurement: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 12 oz. overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, limited handling evidence, some minor oil discoloration on the bolt, a few minor marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the wood. The extra barrel and case are also excellent. Mechanically excellent. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and round knob pistol grip stock with Browning buttplate. Includes a Browning takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 10 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with some light varnish flaking and sharp checkering. The case is excellent.
