Factory Engraved Belgian Browning Superposed Grade I 28 Gauge Skeet Shotgun with Box - Serial no. 3237F70, 28 gauge, 28 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1970. Dual white bead sights on the matte, vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, standard markings and Belgian proofs, and chokes marked “**$”/”**$” (skeet/skeet). Standard Grade I light scroll engraving on the receiver with a gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered, trap style forend and pistol grip stock with vented recoil pad. Includes original factory box. Stock measurements: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 15/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 1 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The box is very good with some tearing and wear along the edges. Mechanically excellent. Dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib which is marked “WINCHESTER”, standard markings, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and Winchoke tube system (modified/full installed). The satin finished action features a pigeon on the left and a woodcock on the right all surrounded by floral scrollwork, single trigger, and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered walnut forend with engraved fittings and round knob pistol grip stock with rubber recoil pad. Includes original box and two extra choke tubes (improved cylinder and skeet). Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 13 15/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 3 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and satin finishes, minor handling evidence, some small areas of oil staining on the satin, and sharp checkering on the wood. Dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib which is marked “QUAIL SPECIAL”, standard markings, small wedges of scroll engraving at the breeches, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and Winchoke interchangeable choke system (cylinder/skeet installed). The coin finished action features a dog flushing two quail on the left, a pair of quail in flight on the right, and a single quail with “WINCHESTER/QUAIL SPECIAL” on the bottom, all surrounded by floral scrollwork. Single gold trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Nicely figured, fluer-de-lis checkered semi-Schnabel tip forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with Winchester recoil pad. Bore and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the breech measure .553/.553 inches; minimum wall thickness .032/.031 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs.
