Scarce Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in Desirable .22 L.R. Shot Only with Smoothbore Barrel - Serial no. 112612, 22 LR Shot cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1948. Single bead sight, standard barrel markings, Winchester WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at
the breech, serrated trigger and hammer lock, smooth top receiver, and matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly. A similar “straight through” smoothbore rifle is pictured on page 48 of “Winchester Slide Action Rifles: Volume II” by Ned Schwing and Schwing notes that they may be rarer than the scarce Routledge bored rifles! 17 groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with scattered spotting, light handling marks, slide retraction marks, and some marring of the metal at the back of the receiver. Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle in .22 Short Only with Octagon Barrel - Serial no. 74611, 22 short cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1946. Beaded blade front and
elevation adjustable rear notch sights, model and caliber markings on the upper left barrel flat, Winchester “WP” proofs on the top barrel flat and receiver at the breech, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, smooth trigger, serrated hammer catch, and correct non-drilled upper tang. 17 groove forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Near mint overall, retaining 98% plus professionally restored blue finish with the slightest bit of loss on the trigger guard assembly at the front, some plum coloration on the action bar, and a couple small dings on the bottom of the very fine buttstock. LOT 3454 Desirable Antique Winchester Model 1890 Slide Action Takedown Rifle in .22 Short - Serial no. 52749, 22 short cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1897 as a second model with the desirable casehardened frame. Two-line address and “22 SHORT” on the upper barrel flat, beaded blade front sight and notch rear sight. Mounted with a twelve-groove slide handle and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 50% original blue finish and strong patterns of muted, silvered out case colors with a brown and gray patina on the balance, handling marks, light pitting on the left side of the receiver. LOT 3455 Excellent Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle - Serial no. 160036, 22 S L LR cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1951. Has a nickel bead front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sight. The barrel has the standard Model 61 markings and is stamped with the “W/P” in an oval proofmark at the breech end. This proofmark is repeated at the front of the top of the ungrooved receiver. Mounted on a 17 groove flat bottom walnut forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with limited handling marks and slide retraction marks. Stock is very fine with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. LOT 3456 Excellent Winchester Model 63 Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 136800A, 22 LR cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1957 with standard Winchester markings and blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight . Oval Winchester proofmarks are stamped on the top of the barrel and grooved receiver. Fitted with a plain forend and pistol grip stock. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish with limited handling marks. Wood is very fine with a few dings and scratches and a couple hairline cracks coming off the upper tang as well as one coming off the loading port. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Milan J. Manufactured in 1955 with standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the barrel and grooved receiver, dovetailed blade and elevation adjustable sights, 17-groove flat bottom forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and slide retraction marks. Stock is also very fine with scattered light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. B) Winchester Model 62A Rifle - Serial no. 361453, 22 S L LR cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1955 with standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver, dovetailed blade and elevation adjustable 7 groove round, flat bottom forearm and straight grip stock with checkered Winchester plastic buttplate. finish with scattered light handling marks and slide retraction marks.
