New York Engraved Gold and
Nickel Plated Smith & Wesson No. 1 Third
Issue Revolver - Serial no. 111700, 22 RF Short cal., 3
3/16 inch solid rib bbl., nickel/gold finish, antique ivory
grips. Manufactured from 1868 to 1881 with this example having
a profuse period New York floral scroll engraving and two-tone
finish. Matching assembly marks on the grip frame, cylinder and barrel. The barrel and frame are plated in nickel. The extractor rod and cylinder are plated in gold.
CONDITION: Very fine as period New York engraved, retaining 95% original nickel plating with some flaking mostly on the grip straps. The cylinder and ejector rod retain nearly 97% replated gold. The engraving is crisp. The grips are also excellent with limited handling marks and attractive color and grain. Mechanically excellent.

Smith & Wesson No. 1 First
Issue Fifth Type Revolver - Serial no. 5453, 22
RF Short cal., 3 3/16 inch solid rib bbl., blue/silver finish,
rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1857-1860. This is the
fifth variation of Smith & Wesson’s debut model. It has standard markings and features.
CONDITION: Good with mottled gray and brown patina and mild pitting on the iron, traces of original silver plating, aged patina on the remaining silver and exposed brass, and moderate overall wear. The grips are also good and have numerous hammering dents on the butt and small chips, and mild handling and carrying wear. Mechanically fine.

Revolvers -A) Smith & Wesson Third Model
.32 Safety Hammerless Revolver - Serial no.
200173, 32 S&W cal., 3 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, hard
rubber grips. Manufactured
from 1909 to 1937. Standard
markings and fitted with checkered S&W
monogrammed grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the
original blue finish and case colors with some
scattered light handling marks and light cylinder drag line. The
grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. B) Smith & Wesson Second Model .32 Safety Hammerless Revolver - Serial no. 111137, 32 S&W cal., 3 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1902 to 1909. Standard markings and fitted with checkered S&W monogram grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original nickel finish, strong case colors on the trigger, and nearly all of the original blue on the triggerguard with a few scattered patches of very light flaking. The grips are also excellent with some very light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Scarce Factory Engraved Marlin
Model 1887 Double Action
Revolver with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 10222,
38 CF cal., 3 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish,
pearl grips. Manufactured circa 1887-1899. Scroll
engraving with a punch dot background as well as
geometric patterns over about 3/4 of the surfaces. It
is fitted with pearl grips and a five-shot cylinder.
CONDITION: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus of the nickel and
blue finish with case colors visible on the sides of the hammer and trigger. There are some small spots of oxidation and handling/storage type marks.
The attractive pearl grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent with crisp engraving and markings.

Revolvers -A) Marlin .38 Standard
1878 Pocket Revolver - Serial no. 7667, 38
CF cal., 3 1/4 inch solid rib bbl.,
nickel finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured from 1876 to 1887.
Barrel rib is marked “38 STANDARD
1878,” and matching serial numbers on butt,
barrel, and cylinder.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% original nickel
finish with some flaking on the balance. Grips are very
good with worn checkering. Action needs work as cylinder does not
lock when hammer is cocked. B) Marlin Model 1887 Double Action Revolver - Serial no. 11148, 38 CF cal., 3 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1887 to 1899. The barrel rib has the two-line address/patent marking.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original nickel finish with light flaking on the balance. Trigger guard retains 80% original blue finish. Bright original case colors visible on the hammer. Grips are very good with sun fading to brown on the right panel, some minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Action functions, but needs minor adjustment as it does not lock up. Trigger Pocket Revolvers
-A) Marlin XXX Standard 1872
Revolver - Serial no. 2396, 32 RF cal.,
3 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish,
rosewood grips. Manufactured from
1873 and 1887. “XXX STANDARD 1873” on top of
the rib, and matching serial numbers on the grip frame, barrel
and cylinder.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% original nickel finish. The grips are
fine with a small chip on the right panel, high edge wear, and much of
the original varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent.
B) Marlin No. 32 Standard 1875 Revolver - Serial no. 8047, 32 RF cal., 3 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1875 to 1887 with the standard J.M. Marlin address/patent on the left of the barrel and “No32 STANDARD 1875” on top of the rib. Matching serial numbers are on the grip frame, barrel and cylinder.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original nickel plating. The grips are very fine with a repaired left panel and overall crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

correct period Marlin box with
end label and bore brush.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining
90% plus original blue finish with
a patch of brown on the underside
of the barrel and some thinning on
the grip straps. 95% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with wear and a couple split corners. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection.

Three Antique Remington Spur Trigger
Pocket Revolvers -A) Remington New Model No.
4 Pocket Revolver - Serial no. 18295, 38 RF cal., 2
1/2 inch round bbl., nickel
finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1877-1888.
This example has standard sights
and markings. The underside of the top strap
and top of the lower strap have the matching
serial numbers.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains
85% plus of the original nickel
finish with some scattered light
flaking, most noticeably on the cylinder,
revealing a smooth grey patina. The grips are also
very fine with minimal handling evidence and crisp
checkering. Mechanically excellent. B) Remington-Smoot
New Model No. 2 Spur Trigger Revolver in .30 RF - Serial
no. 188, 30 RF cal., 2 13/16 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Only around 2,000 of these revolvers were manufactured around 1877-1885, of which only about 600 were chambered in .30 RF like this example. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original nickel finish, the ejector rod showing a smooth grey patina, and some minor tool marks around the screw on the left. The grips are also very fine with some light wear and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
C) Remington Iroquois Pocket Revolver - NSN, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1878 to 1888, the barrel is marked “IROQUOIS” (first “I” absent) on top, and has the Remington address on the left.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original nickel finish with some evidence of light cleaning on the barrel and a few scattered patches of very light flaking. The grips are also very fine with a few minor flat spots in the otherwise well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
