Rock Island Auction Company’s June 20 – 23 Regional Firearms Auction will have more guns that ANY other auction in our entire history. There are more than 10,000 firearms in this positively massive 4-day event! The selection and variety will be better than ever as collectors flock to the biggest gun event of the summer.
Of course, there will be the ever-incredible selection of collectible firearms: Winchester, Colt, military arms from the U.S. and abroad, Civil War arms and more. What many people don’t know is that RIAC’s Regional Auctions also offer an outstanding assortment of “normal” guns too. There are firearms for every shape and purpose! Rifles and shotguns for hunting, pistols for plinking and EDC, modern sporting rifles for fun and home defense, and anything else you can imagine. In addition to modern arms, there are also classics from decades past, bridging the gap between antiques and today’s guns. Classic Smith & Wesson revolvers, beautiful Winchester bolt actions, target pistols, and a smorgasbord of yesteryear’s sporting arms and designs from some of firearms most prolific inventors. Lot 5133: Heckler & Koch HK91 Semi-Automatic Rifle
We are presenting a highly desirable and rare individually shipped silver-plated and factory engraved Colt Bisley revolver with its factory letter. According to “The Books of Colt Firearms” by R. L. Wilson, engraved Colt Bisley revolvers are extremely hard to come by with only about 60 ever produced. Combined with factory silver plating and pearl grips, this Colt is a very unique specimen indeed. Lot 110: Very Rare Documented Individual Shipped Factory Engraved and Silver-Plated Colt Bisley Model Revolver with Pearl Grips and Factory Letters
Another exceptional highlight comes from New Haven Arms and saw extensive use by the 97th Indiana Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. This historic Henry rifle was manufactured in November of 1863 and undoubtedly saw much action throughout the war, as the 97th participated at the siege of Vicksburg, the Battle of Chattanooga, the Battle of Atlanta, and Sherman's March to the Sea. This is perhaps one of the finest historically significant guns in the auction. Lot 8: Desirable U.S. Contract Henry Lever Action Rifle Documented to the 97th Indiana Infantry Regiment
As always in our Regional Auctions, we have more than just guns up for bidding. You can find ammo, knives, books, uniforms, and bronzes to add to your collection. In this sale particularly, we have a collection of fine knives and edged weapons, with many lots including multiple blades for an easy way to jump start a collection at an attractive price. Lot 3057: U.S. Springfield M1C Garand Semi-Automatic U.S. Marine Corps Sniper Rifle with Kollmorgen MC-1 Scope Assembly
