Description:

This revolver is pictured on the back cover and pages 122 and 123 of TRANTER CARTRIDGE FIREARMS by Black, Guerin, and Michaud. Tranter's Patent markings are found on the left side of the frame over the serial number and on the left side of the later style ejector arm. It has nearly full coverage scroll engraving on the frame and with additional engraving on most of the other components. The caliber "320" is marked upside down on the upper left flat. The "75" is marked on some of the components including the back of the cylinder, rear of the frame, and bottom of the barrel. It has the standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, a loading gate with latch, and is fitted with a one-piece grip with detailed oak branch, leaf, and acorn carving.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 40% plus of the original nickel plating with some light spotting, patches of light pitting, and faint scratches. A brown patina is forming on the trigger and hammer. The grip is very good with a chip on the left forward side and an overall aged tone. Mechanically fine with mostly clear engraving and markings.
