The right side of the slide is inscribed "UNSERM I. HPTSUF. POST/ZUM 45 GEBURTSTAGE/DEIN STURM 1N4" indicating the pistol was inscribed as a presentation piece to the SS Hauptsturmfuhrer (captain) of a company sized unit for his 45th birthday. Unfortunately no information is available on the unit marking "1N4". Features standard markings, and proofs. Fitted with checkered Walther banner grips and a finger extension magazine.

Fine with 70% of the faded original polished blue finish. Showing some areas of high point and edge wear, general handling marks and some scattered surface scratches. The grips are very good with general handling marks and a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
