Desirable and Scarce Remington Model 40X Sporter Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 42544B, 22 LR cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1969 and 1980 with fewer than 700 estimated to have been produced. Manufactured with hooded beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard barrel markings and Remington proofs, factory drilled and tapped receiver, five-round detachable box magazine, and wide serrated trigger. Multi-point, skip-line checkered pistol grip sporter stock with rosewood forend and grip caps, sling swivel studs, raised cheekpiece, and checkered plastic Remington buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Dr. Robert Azar Collection. Winchester Deluxe Model 1907 S.L. Semi-Automatic Rifle with Extremely Rare Stainless Steel Barrel - Serial no. 45870, 351 SL cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue/Japanned black finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1928. Dovetail beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, standard barrel markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, and standard markings on the upper receiver tang. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Winchester buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus bright original high polish blue finish on the receiver, 98% original Japanned black finish on the stainless barrel, minor spotting on the left of the receiver, and light handling evidence. The buttstock has a long hairline crack on the underside of the pistol grip, otherwise it is very fine with crisp checkering. The forend is excellent. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,000
LOT 366 Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade Bolt Action Rifle in .375 H&H Magnum with Griffin & Howe Scope Mount - Serial no. 56894, 375 H&H magnum cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1946 and subsequently mounted with a scope assembly by Griffin & Howe. Hooded ramp front and two leaf flip up rear notch sights, standard barrel markings with Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, factory drilled and tapped receiver with a Griffin & Howe side mounted scope mount with a Lyman Alaskan All-Weather scope, and “SUPER GRADE” marked floorplate. Checkered pistol grip stock with ebony forend cap, hard rubber grip cap, raised cheekpiece, front and rear sling swivels, and solid rubber Winchester buttpad. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% plus original blue on the barrel and receiver with some scattered light spotting and mild handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with some marks and scuffs and crisp checkering. The scope optics are clear with a slightly hazy ring around the edges and the tube shows some light oxidation. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Exceptional U.S. Springfield Model 1903 Bolt Action Griffin & Howe Custom Target Rifle with Bull Barrel Number 125 - Serial no. 1180658, 30-06 cal., 24 inch bull bbl., blue finish, walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1920 and subsequently upgraded to current configuration by Griffin & Howe in New York City. This rifle features a heavy barrel marked “No 125 Griffin & Howe, Inc. New York” on top and “30-06 Gov.” on the chamber with a ramped beaded blade front sight. The front receiver ring has the standard Model 1903 marking and the rear ring is fitted with an adjustable peep sight. Mounted in a checkered walnut pistol grip stock with horn forend tip and grip cap, shadow line Swiss cheek piece, and checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally custom upgraded by Griffin & Howe. Retaining 85% plus custom blue finish with some minor handling marks and thinning to brown on the bottom metal. Wood is very fine with scattered light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. One will look a long time to find a finer Griffin & Howe 1903! Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Excellent First Year Production Winchester Model 1910 .401 S.L. Semi- Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 6412, 401 SL cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1911, the first year of production. Dovetail blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, standard barrel markings, Winchester “WP” proofs on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech, and standard markings on the upper receiver tang. Lightly figured smooth walnut forend and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Winchester buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% bright original high polish blue, minor handling evidence, and a few small scratches on the right of
the receiver. The wood is also excellent with minor handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250
