Factory Engraved Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Non-Fluted Cylinder and Case - Serial no. 89951SA, 45 LC cal.,
7 1/2 inch round bbl.,
blue/casehardened finish,
carved grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver as having
a 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with an unfluted
cylinder, blue and color case hardened finish, type of stocks not
listed, and class “D” engraving when shipped to John A. Biewer
Co., Inc. in Marysville, Michigan on August 25, 1978. The letter also
states that the records do not state who did the engraving or what
kind of stocks were on the revolver when shipped. Currently, the
revolver is fitted with an ox head carved one piece grip marked
“Gunart/Lakewood, N.J.” Includes a Colt Custom Shop case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with minimal storage and handling marks and typical high spot wear on the lining.

Frame Single Action Army Revolver with Box
and Authentication Letter - Serial no. S11771A,
45 LC cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened
finish, smooth grips. Manufactured in 1996. The
included Adams & Adams engravers letter lists this revolver as having a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .45 Long Colt with a black powder frame, blue finish and case colors done by Turnbull, “C” coverage American scroll engraving with a large and small 24 karat gold band at the rear of the cylinder, two small bands on the barrel, and Dan Chesiak grips. The letter is dated August 1998. Adams’s signature can be found on the barrel under the cylinder pin. Includes original shipping
box and Colt blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall as embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Jr., retaining 99% Turnbull blue and case colors with limited handling marks and crisp engraving. Mechanically excellent. Blue box is excellent showing typical wear to insert. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,750
LOT 558
Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver
with Box - Serial no. S04667A, 45 LC cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, pearl
grips. Manufactured in 1994. The box end label states this revolver left the factory
in the white with black eagle grips. This revolver has since been given 75% floral scroll
engraving with gold inlaid panel around the caliber marking as well as the caliber marking, barrel address, Rampant Colt on the frame, Rampant Colt on the recoil shield, Colt Armory on the loading gate, line perimeter on frame and top strap and “ONE OF 250” on the back strap. Includes original shipping box a Colt blue box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall,
retaining 99% plus blue finish
with limited handling marks
and bright gold inlays. The
grips are very fine with a small
chip out of the toe of each
panel. Mechanically excellent.
Box is fine with some storage
and handling marks. Shipping box has storage and handling marks with detached, but present, matching end label flap.
