Iver Johnson .410 Bore Skeet- er Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 26054, 410 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured from 1931 to 1943. Single white bead sight on a matte solid rib, 3 inch chambers with single extractor, and chokes measured modified/improved cylinder. The blued boxlock action is marked “IVER JOHNSON/SKEET-ER” on the left side with three-line address on the right and features double triggers and tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend and straight grip stock with factory hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 3/4 inch drop at
comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 5 oz. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 80% plus original blue finish, some areas showing thinning, a few patches of minor spotting, and general mild handling evidence. The wood is very good with some worn
varnish, numerous small scratches and dents, loose forend latch, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,750
LOT 1428 Factory Engraved Ithaca Flues Grade 2 Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 185180, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1909. Blued Krupp Fluid Steel barrels with single bead front sight on the matted solid rib, 3 inch chambers with single extractor, standard markings, and choke constrictions measured .032/.032 inches (full/full). The casehardened boxlock action features light scroll and line work around a woodcock on the left, a mallard on the right, and a quail on the underside. Double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety switch. lightly figured, multi-point
checkered splinter forend with ebony tip inlay and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2
3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 13 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% reblue finish, 99% original case colors, and light handling evidence. The wood is very fine with a few light marks, slightly loose forend, and sharp checkering. The chambers have been lengthened. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

Documented Factory Engraved Parker Brothers VH Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 240442, 12 gauge, 26 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in the post 1934 Remington era as one of only 2,293 in this configuration of a total of 78,659 VH Grade guns built according to page 258 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. Blued Vulcan Steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the concave, matted solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CT. U.S.A. VULCAN. STEEL”, 2 3/4” chambers with single extractor, choke constrictions .024/.034 inches, and standard markings on the flats. The casehardened action displays the VH pattern of engraving consisting of zig zag line borders with “PARKER” on the underside. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Parker grip cap, blank inscription shield, and dog’s head buttplate. The above configuration is confirmed on page 603 of “Parker Gun Identification and Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 12 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% original blue with some thinning, 70% original case colors with the balance silvered, and light general handling
evidence. The wood is fine with scattered light marks and pressure dents and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
LOT 1430 Parker Brothers VHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 240780, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured post 1934 in the Remington era. Blued, Vulcan steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. VULCAN .STEEL”, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, standard Parker proofs, and choke constrictions measured .037/.038 inches (full/full). The casehardened action bears standard VH Grade markings and light border engraving and features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, blank inscription shield, and dog’s head buttplate. The above configuration is confirmed on page 604 of “Parker Gun Identification and Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 11 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, retaining 95% plus blue finish which has taken on a plum patina, 75% original case colors, and light handling evidence. The revarnished wood is very good with scattered small dings and freshened sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,500
LOT 1431 Factory Engraved Ithaca Flues Grade 4 Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 353800, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1921. Single bead sight on the matted solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor, and choke constrictions measured .012/.033 inches (improved cylinder/full). The casehardened boxlock action shows standard Grade 4 engraving with a pheasant on the right, a mallard on the left, and scroll in the surrounding areas. Double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, fancy checkered splinter forend with ebony tip insert and pistol grip stock with inscription shield marked “R/W/J” and Ithaca buttplate. Stock measurements: 2 1/16 inch drop at comb; 3 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 13/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 10 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, showing 99% blue finish and 90% case colors with minor handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with a few scattered minor marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000 LOT 1432 Factory Engraved Ithaca Grade 4E Single Barrel Trap Shotgun - Serial no. 240405512, 12 gauge, 32 inch vent rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1970. White mid and front orange high visibility front sights on the matted vent rib, light engraving on the sides of the chamber, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejector, and full choke. The casehardened boxlock action features standard Grade 4 engraving of a hunter in a field on the left and a Native American on the right both surrounded by floral scroll. Highly figured, fancy checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with plastic grip cap, blank inscription oval, and added red rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 5 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes, limited handling evidence, a few tiny marks in the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500
