Double triggers, standard markings on the water table, and tang mounted automatic safety. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forearm with Deeley latch and engraved fittings and a pistol grip stock with blank silver inscription shield, Parker Brothers grip cap and dog’s head buttplate. The above configuration is confirmed on page 488 of “Parker Gun Identification and Serialization” by Price and Fjestad. Barrel and stock measurement (R/L): bores 9 inches from the breech .669/.669 inches; choke constriction .022/.033 inches; minimum wall .029/.031 thickness inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 7/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 12 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% original blue on the barrels, 40% original case colors, and strong remnants of blue on the trigger guard. The gun shows mild general handling/use evidence. The wood is also very fine with scattered small dents and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Documented Factory Engraved Parker Brothers 16 Gauge GHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 194819, 16 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Engraved with case hardening colors and checkered stock Manufactured in 1921 on a “0” frame. According to the table on page 279 of “The Parker Story” by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote, this is one of only 353 built with this combination of grade, gauge, barrel length, and barrel steel. Engraved Philadelphia Manufactured A. H. Fox CE Grade Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with Factory Letter - Serial no. 11677, 12 gauge, 32 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Krupp fluid steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the matte, concave solid rib, marked “KRUPP FLUID STEEL MADE BY” and “A.H.FOX GUN Co. PHILA.PA” on the right and left barrels respectively, 2 9/16 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes measured full/full. The casehardened boxlock action displays the early C Grade engraving style with near full coverage engraving with bird scenes on either side of the receiver and a hunting dog on the underside. The gun features
double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered splinter
forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release as well as a straight grip stock with checkered flats and rubber recoil pad. The included factory letter
confirms the barrel length, gauge, weight, and stock measurements (some variation with age/shrinkage) when it was shipped to “Giltner” in November 1908. Includes a reprinted copy of a Fox catalog. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 95% plus reapplied blue finish on the barrels, traces of case colors in the protected areas with the balance a mix of grey and brown patina, and some spotting on the barrels. The wood is very good with numerous dings and scratches, two deeper scratches on the left of the butt, traces of a removed comb pad, deteriorating recoil pad, and crisp checkering. Factory Engraved Parker Brothers DHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 229979, 12 gauge, 30 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1928. Blued Titanic Steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the concave, matted solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL”, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, choke constrictions .025/.037 inches, and standard markings on the flats. The casehardened action displays the DH pattern of engraving consisting of Parker banners on either side and a pointer on the left, a covey of pheasants on the underside, and a setter on point on the right side all surrounded by floral scrollwork. The gun features double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Parker grip cap, blank inscription oval, and steel skeleton buttplate over checkered butt. Stock measurements: 1 3/4 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs 9 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 97% original blue, 95% original case colors, some areas or light scratching on the barrels, spotting on the buttplate, and overall light handling evidence. The revarnished wood shows a few minor marks, small chip near the toe, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
