Desirable Nickel Colt New Police
Double Action Revolver with Box and Factory Letter - Serial no.
22016, 32 police cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl., nickel finish, hard rubber
grips. The factory letter indicates this revolver shipped in its current
configuration (grips not listed) with 5 other guns of this type on
August 18, 1903, to M. Hartley Company in New York City. M. Hartley
Company was the successor to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham/Hartley &
Graham starting in 1899. The original company was once the largest
firearms dealer in the country. The .32 Colt New Police was made the first official duty firearm of the New York Police Department by Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt in 1896. It has the standard markings and features, including matching serial numbers on the grips. The box has the matching serial number on the bottom in pencil, a non-matching end label, and reprinted papers. CONDITION: Very fine overall with 95% plus original nickel and niter blue finish, some slight flaking, and minor marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent. The box is good and has some repairs, storage wear, and tears.

Exceptional Colt Shooting Master Double Action Target Revolver with Box - Serial no. 342005,
38 special cal., 6 inch round
bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips.
Manufactured in 1937. Elevation adjustable front sight and windage adjustable rear sight, with the two- line address and patent dates on top of the barrel, caliber markings on the left
side, checkered
hammer, trigger
and grip straps.
Fitted with a pair of checkered Colt medallion grips. With an unlabeled black leatherette box containing a test target (marked for this revolver, but with 22 caliber holes
in the target).
CONDITION: Excellent, 98% plus original blue finish, with a few hints of brown patina on the front sight base, along with some light handling marks and edge wear overall. The grips are also excellent with
a few light dings. Mechanically excellent. The box is fragile, with parts missing. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500

Pearl Grips and Box - Serial no. 451497, 38 special cal., 6 inch
 round bbl., blue finish, pearl grips.

with a carved bison on the right
with red accented eyes. The box
has been renumbered to gun, has
separate “TARGET,”“BEAD FRONT
SIGHT,” and “PEARL” stickers in
addition to the main end label, and
CONDITION: Very fine with 98% original blue finish minor edge and handling wear, and light scratches. The back strap checkering has been recut. The grips are also very fine aside from chips at the heel of both panels. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with storage type wear, including heavy sun fading and some water spots. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500
 in 1937. Fixed sights, with the two-line address and patent markings on top of the barrel, caliber markings on the left, “VP”
and “4” on the trigger guard and the Rampant Colt on the side plate. Fitted with checkered Colt medallion grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% original blue finish, showing a spot on the right side of frame. The grips are also excellent. Mechanically excellent.
