Lytton Engraved W&C Scott & Son Single Barrel Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 79399, 12 gauge, 34 1/4 inch vent rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1911. Dual white bead sights on the matted vent rib, marked “W&C. SCOTT & SON.” and “55 VICTORIA STREET. LONDON ENGLAND” on the left and right side of the barrel respectively, Birmingham proofs, small flourishes of floral scroll engraving near the breech, choke constriction of .030 inches, and 2 3/4 inch chamber with extractor. The casehardened sideplated action featured near full coverage English rose and scroll engraving with “W&C. SCOTT & SON” on either side. The triggerplate is signed “S.M. Lytton”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered
beavertail forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley style release and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, adjustable Hollingsworth soft comb, blank silver inscription oval,
and red rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 15/16 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 99% blue and 98% case colors, light handling evidence, a few minor marks in the wood, and crisp checkering on the forend and stock.
The case is very fine. The safety is stuck off, otherwise mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,750 - 4,250

Factory Engraved Joseph Lang & Son Sidelock Double Barrel Ejector Shotgun with Case - Serial no. 16226, 12 gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ coin finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1920 per page 123 of Nigel Browns “British Gunmakers: Volume One - London”. Blued steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth, concave solid rib, “JOSEPH LANG & SON” and “T. BURY STREET. ST. JAMES’S. LONDON.” marked on the right and left barrels respectively, period London proofs, and 2 1/2 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished sidelock action displays beautiful floral scroll engraving with some nitre blued pins and “JOSEPH LANG & SON.” on either lockplate. The gun features double triggers and a tang mounted automatic safety switch with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved
fittings including the Anson button release and straight grip stock with blank silver inscription oval and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Includes a black leather bound takedown case. Stock measurements (R/L): 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as refurbished, retaining 99% blue finish, polished bright action with some dimpling, and minor handling evidence. The wood is very good with some evidence of sanding, slight crack in the forend at the shoe, scattered light marks, and crisp checkering. The case is very good. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Webley & Scott 28 Gauge Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun with
Case - Serial no. 728212, 28 gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, walnut stock. Proofed at the Birmingham
proof house in 1978. Blued steel barrels with smooth, concave solid rib, “Webley & SCOTT
LTD. BIRMINGHAM. ENGLAND” and “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH. BEVERLY HILL. CALIFORNIA.
U.S.A.” on the right and left barrels respectively, choke constrictions of .006/.024 inches, and
chambers marked 2 3/4 inches with ejectors. The boxlock action shows attractive scrollwork
with “WEBLEY & SCOTT” on either side and features double triggers and automatic tang
mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut splinter forend with
Anson button release and engraved fittings and straight grip stock with blank inscription
oval and serrated bare butt. Includes a Webley & Scott labelled canvas bound takedown
case marked with cleaning rod and two snap caps. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 11/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 3 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue with some scratches and dings ahead of the barrel markings and 99% original case colors. The wood is very good with a few scattered dings and light scratches and sharp checkering. The case is excellent. The right ejector is activated on unfired chambers, otherwise mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Cogswell & Harrison 16 Gauge Avant Assisted-Opening Double Barrel Shotgun with Case and Certificate of Origin - Serial no. 47765, 16 gauge, 27 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Blued Arcus Compress Steel barrels with single white bead sight on the sunken, smooth solid rib, period London proofs, choke constrictions of .006/.013, and chambers proved
at 1 oz and measured at 2 3/4 inches with automatic ejectors. The casehardened sideplated, assisted- opening action features floral scroll engraving, double triggers, and tang mounted automatic safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and leather wrapped recoil pad. The included Certificate of Origin confirms the current configuration when delivery was taken on December 19th, 1922 by Sir H. Cook. Sir Cook cannot be positively identified, however, a good candidate is the British aviator and Brigadier General Henry Cook. Includes a Cogswell & Harrison labelled leather bound takedown case with cleaning tool, two snap caps, and canvas cover. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 9/16 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 15 oz.
CONDITION: Very fine as refurbished, retaining 99% blue finish, 25% case colors, light handling evidence, some wear on the recoil pad, and crisp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
