The Consignment Process

When you agree to consign with Rock Island Auction Company, we take care of all the work: photography, descriptions, advertising, storage, insurance, as well as legal transfer and shipping to the buyer. We handle everything and charge a simple percentage of your item's sale price with our only incentive being to bring you the most money for your items.

While there are many moving parts behind the scenes, all you have to worry about are 4 simple steps.

Consignment Rates

1. Evaluation

We determine what your item may achieve at auction. This can be done in any number of ways from a simple phone call to a visit from a RIAC representative. There is never an obligation or cost for an evaluation.

2. Transport

When you agree to consign or sell your items, we have several options available for transporting them to our facility. These range from shipping your items, to a scheduled pick up with our DOT certified drivers.

3. Selling

Between arriving and being auctioned, we will have put our world-class marketing efforts to work for your item. Auction day is where you see our experience come to fruition.

4. Payment

35 calendar days after auction, payments are sent by both check and ACH. You will also receive a detailed report on the sale of your consigned items.
