Description:

This rifle was part of an order by Imperial Russia for 293,816 rifles delivered between 1915 and 1916, with this example made in 1916. The musket has been subsequently mounted on a replacement straight grip stock and half length forearm with ebony painted tip. Fitted with a Fajen serrated plastic buttplate. Standard markings along with Russian markings. Raised blade front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight on a barrel that is drilled and tapped for sight mounts. The receiver is drilled for sight mounts. Trigger is loose, but action functions. There is some minor pitting. Remaining refinish is a dull blue.

Description:

Manufactured after 1918. Standard markings and features with an Enfield-style bolt handle, raised blade front sight and folding leaf rear sight. Equipped with a receiver peep sight adjustable for windage and elevation. Mounted on a checkered stock with double set triggers (front trigger must be pushed forward to activate), leather sling and smooth metal buttplate. "1142" marked on pistol grip. The stock has a hairline crack near the upper tang, some minor handling marks and a few minor dents. There is a large chip on the forend.
