OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

Manufactured in 1862 and shipped to General N.B. Baker, U.S. Quartermaster in Davenport, Iowa October 31, 1862 in a shipment of 1,200 guns. Serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish are verified, grips are "Not listed" in a copy of the original letter. Standard markings and features with wood case and reproduction shoulder stock, powder flask, cap tin, cleaning rod and screw driver. Baker was also the Adjutant General, state of Iowa.
