Manufactured in 1880 with the early second model screwed dust cover guide rail and thumb piece dust cover along with the two line Winchester and King's Improvement marking on the barrel. The 1876 was designed to handle larger calibers for bigger game and was well received by the hunters of its day including Theodore Roosevelt.
