OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

Manufactured in 1876 with the early style front sight integral with the magazine retaining band, standard two line address and King's improvement marking, and a notch and folding ladder rear sight. The serial number is marked in small block numerals behind the trigger. Though the Model 1873 was available by this time, Model 1866s remained popular because they had already built a reputation for themselves in the American West and the battlefields of Europe.
