Description:

This rifle was manufactured in 1869 based on the serial number which is marked in the third model fashion behind the trigger but is numbered in the second model range and has the desirable two-line Henry and King's patent marking. While the Model 1866 was by all accounts well received in the U.S., relatively few actually remained in the country due to foreign contracts and many of those that remained in the country saw hard use making surviving examples highly desirable.
