OE - GOOD - some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; lightly scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.

Description:

This carbine received its serial number on July 19, 1888, was received in the warehouse on August 3, and shipped as part of order 9610 on August 4 with a 16" barrel. Only 325 short carbines in .44-40 were manufactured. Those under 16" were apparently most popular.
